Our team is stationed at Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, Maryland and is the only FIRST Robotics team in Harford County, a region north of Baltimore along route 95. Aberdeen High School is near Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG). Aberdeen High School is home to the Science and Mathematics Academy, a magnet program that attracts students throughout Harford County who demonstrate a strong interest and ability in science and mathematics.
This is our team’s fourth year participating in the FIRST robotics program. We currently have 29 members and 12 mentors this year. We plan to attend two regional competitions: the Philadelphia Regional at Drexel University and the Chesapeake Regional at the Baltimore Convention Center. We also plan to attend a preliminary scrimmage at Luke C. Moore Academy in Washington, D.C. Having won the lottery for allowing a select number of teams to attend the championship regardless of performance in regional competitions, we plan to attend the US FIRST Robotics World Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, to be held in the Georgia Dome.
