Our Sub-teams
About Us|Students|Our Image|Sponsors|Subteams|RobotsDuring the robotics build season where students have to work hard to create the robot they are divided into 4 main sub-teams: Mechanisms, Electrical, Drive and Chassis, and Public Relations.
Mechanisms
The Mechanisms Sub Team is responsible for making the mechanisms that interact with the game pieces. This year they are divided into two smaller teams within the mechanisms team: the arm mechanisims team and the minibot mechanisms team.

Electronics and Software
The Electronics and Software sub-team is responsible for wiring up prototype robots and coding in the LabVIEW programming language. This team is probably the most busiest during build season, because they have to wire up the electronics board and have the code finished before the 6 week deadline. They have to wire the motors, pneumatic solenoids, sensors, fuses, relays, PWM controllers, sensors, etc.

Drive and Chassis
The Drive & Chassis sub-team is responsible creating the frame and drive of our robot every year. This year the sub-team installed a mecanum drive which allowed a greater range of movement than the previous year's tank drive. The team is responsible for creating and mounting the transmissions and wheels, along with mounting mechanisms once they are finished by the mechanisms sub team. They also create the proto-robot that the electrical team uses to test the drive code, and practice driving.

Public Relations
The Public Relations Sub Team helps keep our website up and running, they organize any and all content of the site. We help build our team's image and promote our team to the public. Many of the members are also involved with other sub-teams such as the Drive & Chassis or Electronics & Software sub-teams.
